Ok in the house i live in now has finally been taken out of the Old Good SOX lighting, they sort of left 2 alone as Orange SOX for a few months came back from work and i found out they had taken it out and stuck in new pole allready sadly i was gonna get em to give it to me, but was at dam work.    Its now been replaced with WRTL Libra for roads that are primarily considered to be residential.

Soon to be non left in Guildford were i live my mums road were i used to live seams to be the only road now left with whole Sox lamps , part from a few were there is a few paths.  no roads..

Here is some more information about whats happenin in my area.  evan they said there not useing LEDs yet now thats least a bit better,

Hi Fox

Yes it is the all too common sad tale of not being in the right place at the right time. We have the same issue in Oz with the added frustration of nannie rules preventing collectors from receiving them at 'the bottom of the pole' so to speak. Not only does the timing have to be perfect, but you have to have a 'contact' on the inside. eBay has slim pickings and cost a lot usually in shipping.

Yer i got this email from them the other day,  saying this

Thank you for this.

Regretfully, we cannot release redundant equipment such as this due to
Health and Safety issues such as WEEE & COSHH. We would also technically
be in breach of the Environmental Protection Act by transferring waste
material.

Sorry, but we cannot help you.

Kind regards

2600 pounds for a new lighting column?, (to cover installation and maintenance cost?), more like 600 pounds for the new column and lantern and the 2000 to replace all the fails of electronic/dimming ballast their going to have in the next 24 years! ;D
