GE fluourescent lamp catalog 1941 « on: March 12, 2014, 10:06:12 PM » Author: Larry
GE Fluorescent light catalog 1941 :D

65 watt 30 inch T17 bulb shown on the cover.
Now that would be a rare bulb to have, it is the only one I have ever seen listed. ???

It seems that the 65 watt T17 did not do very well on the watts in and lumens out chart.
I would think this is the reason it was dropped early. :(

I had to have a closer look so I bought it. :D

Update 3/17/14
I received the 1941 GE  fluorescent lighting catalog I bought on ebay today and it is very detailed and well written.
I am looking through it and there is a wealth of information in it about fluorescent lighting in 1941.
One thing it said was that fluorescent lighting has been available just three years and has already come into wide acceptance.
So that would be about 1939 when GE started selling the fixtures and bulbs.

What I would like to do is take this catalog and several other old lighting catalogs to Office Depot and have them scanned and put on CD.

I would like to post them here so everyone here can see them, but I am not sure how to do it.
I don't know if there is a copyright problem or not, but as old as they are I would not think so.
They are just sales and engineering catalogs.

And now for a commercial break:

T17 Bulb holders in the front of the picture.
They would not be difficult to reproduce.

But check this little lamp catalog from GE.
