In 50 years, those ballasts will be so obsolete that Maintenance Engineering (if they're still around) probably won't even care. I'd be interested to try their "premium gold endcaps" lamps, though.

The ME lamps I have experience with are all circa 1998. Not bad lamps at all, but their marketing has a very "snake oil" feel to it.

From what I can tell on their website, the only way to buy their stuff is to call them. An archaic business model if you ask me.

1 those hf ballasts lasting anywhere close to 50 years...and
2 the company being around even the next few years.
cost of ballasts/bulbs pales in comparison to cost of labor.
