I might have to buy a can of WD-40 for the first time in years, I'm getting into old fans, and they have wicks. Some AFCA members have informed me that I should soak the wick in WD-40 and put 3-N-1 oil in it to restore the old wick.

So far I find Swepco 808 penetrating fluid is the best to loosen up stuff
