other antique engines. « on: December 16, 2015, 09:46:13 PM » Author: Aveoguy22
i didn't want to hijack Dave's thread for some pics of my own so I thought since there was an interest in the old engines that I would post some pics of my own.
heres 3 of my engines at a local engine show in clio, michigan.  theres a Cushman cub 3hp on the far left, a Fairbanks Morse 1 1/2hp in the middle and the green one on the left is a DeLaval 2 1/2hp.  theres some maytags behind the green engine that you cant see.

here they are on the trailer at a show in Harrison, Michigan

heres a few videos of the maytags and a video of the DeLaval.

haven't got any of the Fairbanks yet as I haven't had it near as long as the others.  I have a few more engines, but they aren't running at the moment, so I haven't got any videos.

thanks.  I have a better skid for the maytag 92 now.  the longbase engines are fragile on the arms going forward.  the one you have is a longbase IIRC

Yep, it's a longbase. My dad built a wooden frame for it.

I forgot to add the years of the engines.  the Fairbanks is a 1922, the Cushman is either a 1929 or 30 and the DeLaval is about a 1925 or 26.  the Delaval is hard to give a date on because the engine is actually a Lauson and the records were lost to a fire in the 50's.  the  maytag 92 is a 1928 and the maytag 72 is about a 1946 or 47.
