I have a friend who is so supportive with my interests in lighting and stuff, he is not as crazy about lights as me, but he really is influenced by me.....the member, is LEDFreak....he shared something with me that I want to share with you guys....

Here is  the topic of a new "tic-tac" LED that I thought was so cool!

Weird bulb, it's not a LED, it's actually called a plasma lamp. First time I learned about such a lamp LOL.

Now this is actually a cool light source!  I hope it takes over LEDs actually.

Seems it's actually an electrodless MH lamp of sorts!

Very interesting. Seems this will surpass HPS in efficiency and light spectrum. Question now is: how reliable are these and what will be price and availability?
