Looking for an M250R1 « on: June 02, 2016, 09:53:39 PM » Author: M250R201SA
Is there ANYBODY who knows where I can get a GE M250R1?  Either used or NOS?  I've obviously checked eBay.  I plan to eventually order an M400R2 and M400A2 as they are still in production (hopefully they remain so for at least the next 6 months while I gather the money) but since the M250R1 is no longer in production, I have to rely on searching for one.  Does anybody have a clue as to where I can find one?

If it weren't for liability issues I could have gotten you one for free...

Liability Issues?   Is it the same reason most power companies won't give away old fixtures anymore?

Yes, That's likely the reason.

What makes these so rare now?  I see hundreds, thousands of M250R2.  Did the R1s have a flaw that made them have to be replaced?  I am willing to pay

Well at least in my corner of PA, they're all still in service!
