Hi, good day.

Does any one know how to read this date code? Tesla RVL-X 400W "191"..

I assumed that 191 is the date code?

One thing I know is that someone said that the "Made In Czechoslovakia" means made before a certain date, 80's or 90's. So this is at least older than that.

January 1'st 1993 the Czechoslovakia split into to separate Czech and Slovak republics. After that date the things were not anymore "Made in Czechoslovakia", but "Made in Czech Republic" or "Made in Slovakia". There was some transition time (some monts or so) after that split till the makers really retooled the printing equipment, so start to print the new state name.

Didn't the government for Czechoslovakia also dictate the prices for things like light bulbs?

So it's likely older than 1989.

Hmm, 80s that's really old! ;D

Anyone have experience of the brand Tesla? I'm interested to find out whats the built quality of this lamp and does it stand out among other brands during that time? it's dirt cheap for a 400w, if it is good I'll probably get all the remaining one from the shop, those poor lamps sat there in the store for maybe 30 years collecting dust.

When I got them, I'm going to replace all my old T8 fluorescent, cfls and leds with these massive 400W :mv:, everywhere including the toilets.

LMAO, jkjk..

Oops, I thought it was older than 1989, but I think it's actually newer than that because there's no price on it.

Hey waterbug I think 400 watt lighting in the toilets a bit excessive I mean I know guys like to read in there that amount of heat and light you'd get a suntan!!
