Wild Web Wonders « on: September 11, 2016, 09:36:21 PM » Author: wattMaster
Today, I decided to look at megatech.com, because I saw a RC model with that website on there.
The way I looked at earlier versions is with archive.org.
Well, here's what happened:

1. Megatech is in name only, sometime in 2012, it got renamed to "High Definition R/C".
2. The earliest website I found is called "Megatechnologies", which seems to be helping small companies with computers.
3. Sometime in the early 2000's, it was a very ugly version of HDRC, which was called Megatech back then.
4. Then it got changed to the dreaded "HTML or Flash?" splash screen home page.
They even had a fake TV, which showed their products.
5. Then they removed that splash screen, then improved their home screen.
6. It stayed the same for a few years.

In the earlier versions, it had it's address (8300 Tonnelle Ave North Bergen, NJ) and I searched that, then it came up as America's Hobby Center.
The Google review said that the original owner died, so the grandson ran it and then the shop became worse.
Now it's closed!
The new HDRC website tells you nothing about any addresses.
What do you think of all of this weirdness?
