Mogul Bipin F90T17 socket « on: October 02, 2017, 11:05:18 PM » Author: Sammy
I really want to know if my T17’s work or are burnt out. I’m curious enough I shelled out $30 for a NOS ballast on eBay to test them but I didn’t realize I was going to have a bunch of trouble finding sockets. I figured a fixture would be pretty difficult. So cutting straight to the mustard:

1) Does anyone know where I can get my hands on some for a fair price or trade?
2) if not is building my own an option?
3) I ran across these when I was looking but they’re made to order and McGill said I’d have to buy a run of 50. Can anyone explain how these work? https://www.emerson.com/documents/commercial-residential/190192.pdf

Hold the tube in place using some clips and connect to the tube pins with screw terminals

Check whether the tube pins fit into the holes of a 4 pin PC power supply peripheral connector. If it does, you can use that as a pluggable connector over the tube pins. If the distance in the connector is not right take the pins out, isolate them in heat shrink and use them separately

Those are a good bit cheaper than what I've seen before, and what I paid for my set (though mine were NOS).

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.
