White discharge lamps streetlights « on: September 22, 2017, 02:38:48 PM » Author: micole66
I have seen 5 streetlights, with white light. All of them have an elliptical phosphor coated lamp.

These streetlight are mercury vapor or metal halide?

If these are antique streetlights, most likely mercury vapor lamps with red yttrium vanadate phosphor, which corrects the greenish light of the mercury discharge to white.
