GE engineer who developed the "classic" Christmas lights passes away.... « on: December 30, 2017, 01:00:28 PM » Author: takemorepills
Richard Francis Malinowski was a GE engineer who developed many of the iconic GE Christmas lighting products of the late 60's through 70's. Even as a kid I appreciated his work, because for "some reason" the GE products were the ones that caught my attention the most. That "some reason" was his excellent engineering skills and an artistic sense combined with GE's high quality standards at the time. Even my 10 year old son can see that my vintage GE equipment "just looks better" than contemporary non-GE stuff and all modern stuff.

Mr. Malinowski passed away December 18, 2017. We will be collecting and cherishing his work for many more generations to come.

A good reason to go around archiving as much information as we can from these old farts while they are still around.
