A Cooper 42W fluorescent area light on eBay. Pretty cool light, and I thought about getting. What's even neater is it has a NEMA wattage tag, which I hadn't seen on a fluorescent before.

Can this be arm mounted?

Here's a MV GE 201SA on eBay. This is the same seller I got mine from, but this one is unpainted and it does have the refractor but there's a hole. I guess the smooth reflector must be original to these units.

GE MV Luminaire

They're also selling this GE yard light and a spare GE NEMA refractor assembly

Here's a GE 201SA HPS fixture. It's brand new, made last May. Not a bad price for $40 on a utility grade fixture. I don't know if it includes a bulb or photocell though. I don't believe it includes an arm.

The same seller also has some other fixtures including an American Electric Contempo HPS post top.

Can I recommend the use of the link insertion facility, it makes links like the ones you quoted far easier to read.

All you need to do is type a left square bracket [ followed by "url=" (without the quotes) then insert the link. Add a right square bracket, then type a descriptive message, then another [ with "/url" (again without the quotes) and finish with a ].

This makes the link

https://www.ebay.com/itm/GE-Sam-Roadway-Light-SAM1S1N21NV5ALN002-New/273431068233?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D0591f21c887e4918ba24cae2cee35f4a%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D8%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D372398803959%26itm%3D273431068233&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A4ba7ca46-af97-11e8-9011-74dbd1802be5%7Cparentrq%3Aa04986a61650a9c430a86443fff85910%7Ciid%3A1

look like here is some text describing the link which I'm sure you'll agree is much easier to read. Yes it's a little time consuming to do, but it makes for a much more readable message Smiley

I don't disapprove of LED's for domestic and other indoor use, I just don't like them for street lighting.

I believe eBay URLs can also be trimmed to get rid of the extra tracking fluff too. You can pretty much get rid of anything after the item number in the URL and it will still work. Here's the same URL but with all the fluff removed:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/GE-Sam-Roadway-Light-SAM1S1N21NV5ALN002-New/273431068233

But yeah as Ria mentioned, using the forum url tag would result in a even neater link.

Then you can turn that URL in to a clickable link like this:

GE SA NEMA Light

Here's something pretty cool:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Angelo-Lamparts-Lamp-Parts-Electric-Gas-Light-Converter-Bulb-35W-NOS-New-Vtg/253837375566?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I bought 2 of 'em, interested to see what they look like lit up. Not very expensive either! I'll post pics of these when I get 'em

Here's a 400W GE Powr/Bracket on eBay. It looks like it could use some TLC but seller says it works.

GE Powr/Bracket

I didn't know there were 4 generations of these, so I guess I learned something.

I would assume I have the latest generation PB, as mine was a late model, and I assure you it is not cheap or flimsy. It weighs a good 20ish pounds, and while the reflector isn't painted, it is very nice aluminum. The refractor is extremely thick plastic.

Yeah I doubt they're lightweight. I think yours is a 1995 if I remember right? With GE cheapening their lights and moving production to Mexico after 2008, it's possible the latest Powr/Brackets in the last couple of years before they were discontinued were flimsier, but I doubt anyone has one to compare it.

Yeah it was a 4/95 build.

I just bought this Powr/bracket date on ballast module is 8/96 so not that old but seems to be cleaning up nicely and works well doesn't weigh very much but then again I'm used to lifting cobra heads and insanely heavy wide-lite floods

Which Powr/Bracket did you buy? And the one on eBay has been relisted, at a higher price.
