I have a blower motor that needs a 25 MFD 236v cap. It didn't come with one when I got it, but I have an Advance 28 MFD cap that came from a 480v ballast I have no use for. Other than buzzing loudly for a second on startup, it hasn't seemed to affect the motor badly. The motor won't start at all without the cap (I have to spin the shaft by hand to get it going) so is it safe to do this? I'd rather not have to plop down 10 bucks for a 25 MFD cap.
