Site announcement: Regarding cyber bullying and stalking of members. « on: August 08, 2018, 04:40:53 PM » Author: DaveMan
To all Lighting Gallery members and prospective members. It has come to the attention of the admin team that there has been an episode of cyber bullying and stalking that has extended beyond the website. Without naming names one member has received a scathing and threatening text message on their cell phone that referenced our website so we know it came from someone else on here. While it should be obvious to most members on here, it apparently needs to be stated that continuous harassment of members within the site is already enough for a permanent ban to our website, but to go as far as to stalk members outside the site, hitting up their cellphones and invading their personal space is not only absolutely forbidden on our site, but it is ILLEGAL. This could present a liability for us. Therefore I on behalf of the admin team am stating for the record that the offending member will be banned permanently without hesitation once we know who they are and if we are put into a position where we have to cooperate with local authorities we will. For anyone who did not know this already, this kind of behavior will result in an instant permanent ban from our website once we know who you are and if need be we will communicate with authorities. Thanks for your attention.

Hello again and thank you everyone who has provided supportive replies. Unfortunately this thread has started to deviate from the topic at hand, which is pretty important so I will be locking this topic shortly and moving all of the replies to a separate thread. We are in the midst of running an investigation to determine who the culprit is and we will ban them permanently effective immediately once we know. Due to the interest of confidentiality we can not say who it was, where it happened or what the topic matter was as for why. While one user here suggested it would be nice to resolve this without banning anyone, because the nature of the offense was so egregious, we cannot do that. However, we cannot ban anyone until we know for sure due to the interest of fairness and due process. Thank you for your cooperation. This thread is now closed.
