Lampi fluorescent fixtures « on: September 12, 2018, 09:54:43 AM » Author: Bamaslamma1003
Anybody remember "Lampi" brand fluorescent fixtures? These were made in several different sizes, mostly under cabinet task lighting size. I had an F8T5 one in the kitchen as a kid. Several stores where I work had them in the office. These were the F20T12 types (F17T8 lamps work perfectly in them as well). These were all preheat. They were also stylish and practical. But most of all, they were repairable. The starter could be easily replaced if needed, unlike most small fixtures today which are throwaways.

Oh yes, I remember them fondly. Every time someone mentions them on here, it makes me wish they were still in business. They had cool things like European style chokes (mine has a Vossloh Schwabe).

Yes, I absolutely remember them!
Without a doubt some of my favorite fluorescents to look at when in a store's light aisle back in the day Cool

I've acquired a number of them through the years. Still occasionally see one at a thrift-store\garage-sale\ebay\etc

My grandma has one over the kitchen sink. It's wired in with a switch. The builder modified it from a plug in fixture to a direct wire by replacing the cord and leaving the switch set to on. It says "Ultra Lampi" on it.

I remember them.  I still have a F20T12 version in use.
