My area, and also around Columbus Ohio, is expected to get hit hard with snow. Near blizzard like conditions... close to 14 inches of snow
is expected for my area, and I think around 12 inches of snow for Columbus Ohio. My job has closed until Monday due to this, which gives
me 9 days off in total, when this combines with my original off days, and my upcoming vacation days.
Not gonna be fun though... I'll be stuck inside... and this video will become valid once again:

Now they're saying 14-16 inches of snow... all time... record snowfall predicted for Dayton Ohio. There is even the possibility of a narrow band of
heavier snowfall, and unfortunately my area is in that area where that narrow band of heavier snowfall could occur. If that happens, my area may see
18+ inches of snow.
Dude. We're not done yet -- night time lows this week could go down to -9 degrees! That's actual air temperature. This will also be the coldest air
Dayton has seen since many years ago.
So yep, major severe weather, but in the form of winter, and it could be life threatening. Stay safe everyone.

@suzukir122 — same thing over here in SE PA. This may surpass the blizzard of 2016 we had. Currently we have about 8in total on the ground, two of which were from the previous storm. I'm going out to clean driveways in a few hours and make $$$.

@Eleco_SR304, is it cold over there? Honestly I'd rather be over there than here as of now. I hate winter with a thriving passion.

Yep it is cold. But remember in England there is no such thing as Winter or Summer  :mrg:

If I could fly to England, Australia or anywhere outside of the United States temporarily, I would do so immediately, with the remaining 8 days
I have off from work.
As of now it looks as if the snow has got me trapped inside, piled very high against my front door.
"Severe weather never sleeps," is very much correct.

We've got a heatwave over here, got to about 40°c yesterday, but that's just here.

Pretty much snowed the entire day in Southern Ontario...This storm might have surpassed the infamous storm in 1999 when Toronto had to call in the military for support.

I personally wouldn't call it severe(that term I reserve for summer & thunderstorms), but....Got a fairly short lived but heavy snowstorm here this afternoon, its tapered off to just light snow now. All in all got maybe an inch or 2 out of it, but at its height it looked kinda like a blizzard.
Temp is supposed to get below zero tonight (lows the past couple nights have been single digits & we've gotten little bits of snow)

Tomorrow its supposed to get above freezing for the first time since friday. .lol.

Yeah that right there is the number one thing I'm not looking forward to. My entire vacation will be far below freezing, so this snow
is not going anywhere for a while.

It's recently been feeling like late spring/early summer here in southern California after some heavy rains like a week or two ago. Temperatures will be as high as 81F/27C next week. Warmest January in quite a few years over here. Would be nice to have a little bit more cooler weather here.

@fluorescent lover 40, bring that weather here! haha
I've been to California when Ohio was still in winter conditions, in April of 2014. The weather was far different there than here in Ohio.
It was like stepping into a different world.

Over here in Southeastern PA, we got around a foot, with about 1.5-2.0ft snow drifts.

@wide-lite 1000 — ditto on the snowblower and low temps for the next 7-10 days!
