We tried lighting the lantern with the ordinary photocell in, but it cycled with the ambient light making it switch off after a few minutes. So we substituted the photocell for a dummy link.  8)

We've chosen HPS as today's 'Lamp of the Day'

So here is our 400W Philips Master SON-T PIA Plus lamp, doing a good impression of a space heater.!  :D

We got an HPS reflector lamp today, unfortunately the arc tube was knocked a bit off centre, but it still works okay.

So here is today's offering for 'Lamp of the Day'
 8)
This is what was needed in the lamp's construction to keep the arc tube upright.!  >:(

Back to the lamps for today, and it's the turn of the French.

Featured is our French 250W high pressure mercury lamp.

Another lantern for today's offering.

I bought a Gamma 6 lantern on eBay, and from what I can tell it's one of the last versions made.

Here it is lighting up our kitchen.  8)

All we need to get is a 4 1/2 foot length of 3" pipe mounted on a base plate and then we can put the lantern on the top.  8)

We've got a Sylvania 80W MBF/U lamp today, it's nicely complimenting the Gamma 6 in the corner of the living room.

Here it is fully warmed up.  8)
