17.27p/kWh  :(

Not sure what that is in US$. Due to circumstances we are on a pre-pay tariff so it's more than a credit meter customer would pay  :(

Online conversion site says that would equal about 28 cents Canadian or about 21 cents US
How does the Prepay tarriff work? Sounds like it may be similar to what can be offered to some here, where a customers is on equal billing. Hydro one, our provincial hydro provider calls is budget billing and it works like this,

-The monthly Budget Billing amount is set based on the billing history to even out the energy costs over the course of the year.
-Customer pay's the same Budget Billing amount each month for a period of 6 months.
-At the 6th and 9th month of their annual Budget Billing plan, their monthly payment amount is reassessed to make sure they aren't paying too much or too little.
-At the end of 12 months from enrollment their account is reconciled with any credits owed or outstanding charges applied to their account. Then the next 12 months automatically begins for them.

I must also point out that hydro one is provincial here and in my city, we use a local utility instead, who is the one charging us the rates in the picture I linked above. Hydro one is more for outlaying areas here

I pay an $8.46 'customer charge' for the 'privilege' of being a customer..... I don't have a choice of electrical suppliers.
My current KW/H is $.1206 plus a 'green energy' charge of $.000178/KWH. I also have a 'purchase power cost' adjustment of $.00382/KWH credit.

@ GE101R - I live in Dover, DE. City of Dover Electric, which is a part of DEMEC. DEMEC is a group of 9 municipalities that purchase power together and then retail it to their customers. Their distribution gear and standards follows Delmarva Power's standards.

BTW, I live less than 2 miles from DAFB and my wife is a former 'Air Force Brat' ;D

Sawnee EMC

This was the highest bill I’ve ever gotten. Usually it’s below $100, but it’s been a scorcher this year and the ac has been running most of the day.

.076/kWh is pretty good. Does your area have a nearby hydroelectric plant? I have heard those will usually produce really cheap power.

Here too. No rain in over 6 weeks and mid 90's with low humidity. Everything is drying up and the cows are staring at me. Our Co-op is furnished by TVA and rates are usually lower than the investor owned utilities.

Yup very dry here too.

We do have a hydro plant (Buford dam) but all it does is idle, it very rarely outputs to the grid. The water itself in the lake is more important than the power it can produce since it is our source of municipal water. The ATL area is a single water source city and lake Lanier is part of that infrastructure. Right now especially we need it! Funny thing is last two years they were worrying about the lake being too high from all the rain, not this year!
