TTC LED Conversion? « on: January 09, 2020, 10:46:06 AM » Author: lbulb5000
Has anyone else living around Toronto been noticing the TTC has been converting some of its stations (especially on line 1) to t8 led tubes, especially the ones along the tracks?

Yeah, I've noticed that starting around 2017 when they stopped relamping the tunnel fluorescents with T8 lamps and instead started using LEDs. They even converted the incandescent emergency lights in the older tunnels to LED around the same time too.

I think most of the stations got LED around a year later and most seem to be using LED T8s now. Main exception seems to be Kennedy station and all of the SRT stations which might still be T12.

As for the trains I noticed the T1 cars got LED tubes years ago but I think the TR cars are still T8.
