Venezuelan street wiring. Scary! « on: February 15, 2020, 07:51:42 AM » Author: Iain P
I'm new here, so hopefully I'm posting this correctly and in the right place. On a visit to Merida, Venezuela, some years ago I was fascinated to see the street wiring. I presume this is the wiring for the street lights and for the houses too. The lamp seems to be connected to the wiring anyway.
The 4th picture shows the "technicians" effecting some kind of repair. The only safety measure I could see was that they were wearing wellington boots!

Socialism!  That’s all I can say.  What incentive do any technicians have to do a good job?

It's ok to post pictures here occasionally, but the gallery is the proper place, I'd suggest off-topic as they're not actually lighting fixtures, which would go under Lanterns/Fixtures. Hope this helps  :)
