I have severe doubts about it's safety - it only crushes them an put into one basket. It might be used really only on pink glowing ALTOs (where is no free mercury left), otherwise the mercury release would be huge. If saving cost of recycling, better to use higher quality, longer life tubes, so have fewer to recycle...

My opinion to the films:
Film 1: All the tubes looking for me new and clear. My flourescent tubes are in a real bad state ,but they still work. For me looks the workman of this hospital very happy , maybe he destroy the lights of the hospital too when he have nothing to do. ;)
 Poor U-tubes! :'(
Film 2: This lamps are all from Philips, have this a meaning? :-[

That means they have contract with Philips apparently....

My store I worked in used to have contract with Philips but recently changed and has a contract with GE!

Yup.  Manufacturer contracts change often.  Also- most large commercial operators have supply houses they get their lighting equipment from, where the supply houses deal specifically with a brand.  My church for example (worldwide church with thousands of buildings) has had a contract directly with Sylvania since the 1970s.
