FP80/830/HO/ECO Pentron 80 watter? « on: June 18, 2023, 01:02:40 AM » Author: lights*plus
Found eleven of these tubes in my usual scavenging bin. I put them aside because of the HO mark and because I have a fondness for t5 tubes. As a bonus they are rare at 3000°K. I couldn't find any info here on LG and the tubes are costly on eBay, so I went back and "saved" them.

What will run these? They are longer than F54T5/HO/ tubes by 10 inches.

These are just 80W T5 HO lamps, were common here in Israel. You need an electronic ballast for them.

A 1000 watt HPS ballast will run them nicely.

This will kill the lamps very fast. European T5 HO and HE aren't intended to be operated on magnetic ballasts. Use a PL-L 80W ballast at least.
