My 1250 watt SBMV lamp arrived with a bit of damage to the base. I was wondering if i can fix this or if the lamp is unusable

Just get something wide and flat and push the fold back into it place
Other than I dont think it will effect lamp operations

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly. Gotta love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

I'd agree with that, and once it is flattened, screwing it into the lamp holder will help get it fully back into place.
