Well I had my suspicions that the “zero LED” statement about EMEC would change. Today, I can say that it did. While looking at a real estate listing just to see if it would show a light, it showed an LED, appears to be an AEL but I’m not sure. It seems they’re only being installed as spot replacements so that’s a plus.

Uh ohh.
Yea, and they’re only going to become more common. I hope they’re at least being smart with fixtures unlike what they did with HPS and only use 150w.

Here’s another one spotted up in Vanceboro, this replaced one of the 6ft Sylvania Flexibracket lights. Unfortunately it appears these are just cheap Chinese junk lights.

Breaking News!! New Streetview footage shows the new LEDs, they are Evluma Areamax lights. All are 70w it appears, hopefully they aren’t dumb and use that wattage everywhere.

SRP for life.

I hope they start using the RoadMax alongside the AreaMax. Those seem more appropriate for a roadway. Also, if they do start using it, then it would be the first-time sighting in the wild.
I'm glad they chose something reliable.

True! Even though it's very far away it will keep Affinity put of EMEC! @LightsoftheWest, yes it would be although I'm sure they'll just stick with these.

Eek, looking at a recent statement by EMEC, they started putting up LEDs since July 5th of last year and already lots of mercs are gone.
