I don't know if this is because of the lamp reaching EOL or the battery.
Anyway it is barely light now and in reality i can also see many standing waves.
You can see that BOTH ends have a blackening.

Battery is hosed, as it only lasts a few seconds before dimming.

You need a new 6V 4AH SLA battery, which probably costs as much retail as the lamp. This was probably killed by the cheep charging circuit in the light, costed down to leave the battery as the voltage and current regulator.
