I have discovered an interesting lighting website called: "Interlight."
Their website seems old and the amount of content on it is enormous, but it is still being serviced and the listings change. Especially in the clearance section, some insane deals have come up in the past.
Has anybody purchased a product from interlight and / or can anybody attest to the legitimacy of this website?
Thanks,
Sage

Yes, they've been around for YEARS and are a reputable company. I've bought from them many times in the past. Especially years ago, I bought a lot of projector lamps from them. Back then, I ordered out of their catalog. I know I still have some of their old catalogs around somewhere! Never had an issue with them. They also used to buy your old stock light bulbs; maybe they still do. In fact, that's where they got most of their inventory. Companies would clean out their stockrooms or whatnot and sell the whole lot to Interlight. Because of that, you didn't know what brand bulbs you'd get when you placed an order. That was OK with me; just something to be aware of.
I recently ordered some light bulbs on Zoro.com that were generic "ILC" brand. I'm pretty sure that's short for InterLight Corp (ILC). I got some neat old bulbs! They're in my incandescent lamp gallery.
Also, there used to be a very valuable website called donsbulbs.com. Don sold miniature lamps, but what I liked best is that he had a huge database of miniature lamps that you could search by parameter. For instance, if you knew what voltage range and base type you needed, you could search those parameters and see all the choices available in miniature lamps. Sadly, that website is gone. The reason I bring this up is that at one point, I got the idea that Don (from donsbulbs.com) was somehow connected to Interlight. I could be very wrong but something gave me that idea. I'd like to know if that's accurate or not!

Yeah, their substitutions can sometimes be quite annoying as best and deceptive at worst. If you order from them, unless you don't care about the brand/model best to leave a note say no substitutions will be accept and that the specified part no. be shipped.

HID, LPS, and preheat fluorescents forever!!!!!!

Getting substituted lamps intended to replace a specific lamp that you are looking for is pretty annoying for me as a collector since I am always looking for GENUINE lamps whenever possible.

as a collector you want the EXACT brand and model but there consumer base is MORE interested in getting there light back up and running and they do have "rare" bulbs in stock like 100V drop "Euro" HPS lamps that your local will likely NOT stock there prices to my eye are quite "rich"

In my case, I have been trying to stock up on some Sylvania old school halophosphate circline fluorescent lamps of every wattage and color temperature variety, but have ended up getting some satco varieties that are still halophosphate and some newer sylvania versions that are TRIPHOSPHOR and NOT halophosphate.
