As reaction to the topic of tsalaver. A more general question. Are you satisfied of how the department maintain the public lighting or are drastic changes needed?

OK.

I am not realy satisfied. The replacement of damaged streetlights is often to long. Only failed lamps are quick replaced.

There's many streetlights still out in my area, if I was in charge I would make sure the fixtures that are out are repaired or replaced.

Convert all the fixtures to metal halide.  I love the near-incandescent quality of the light although there is a sacrifice in lamp life.

.............have every classic street light that was being taken down, delivered to my place.

Also would have SOX street lighting brought back, fluorescents here to stay, and also suspended streetlights on wires over intersections instead of extra poles and outreaches.

Bring back mercury vapor lamps because the HPS sky glow in my area looks horrible and to many cycling lamps due to poor maintenance.

In Haifa, this is catastrophic. Haifa municipality, massively replaces mercury and 100-150W HPS lanterns (Usually AEG Koffer 150 and 250 and AEG/Philips Stradasole 530) to 250W HPS lanterns with cutoff optics (Usually Grechi Lumadas, but also Fivep Oysters and AEC Lunoids) in small residential streets, resulting in an overlighting, glaring bombs and huge power consumption.
