So what is the problem with this? They even included a plastic lens for beam forming, so in actual use the luminaire might be not that bad. Direct drive LEDs are prone to annoying double mains frequency flickering, though.

Yeah, I'm sure that it works pretty well, the Air series seemed to be a success, and I don't mind the look of them, this new luminaire simply (in my eyes) looks ugly as sin.
