Please share the examples of lighting references in music, movies, and TV that you see here!
One example that comes to mind is in Cypress Hill’s Dr. Greenthumb where they reference HPS lamps in the context as being used for growing marijuana.

They should be deliberate, not just a random AEL 115 in the background of a movie or TV show.

Not exactly a TV show, but there is a popular thing called the backrooms on youtube. It is about being stuck in a never ending maze of an office room.

They mention fluorescent lights on the ceiling, which are buzzing annoyingly. But in a later video, it is actually shown that the lights are 4x 40w fixtures with Sylvania lifeline F40SW tubes running on Universal Ballast, type A, A75234X. The detail on the tube etches are amazing, especially for a non-lighting enthusiast.

It can be seen at 7:06 in this video: https://youtube.com/watch?v=DSWUEmJDglw
