| depends on the area I suppose. I don't really think much of these because they are common as dirt. in my area. along with the other ones that have the clear flatter lens.

| It looks to me that the ropes used to hoist the fixture have come undone and the ring holding all the lamps in place has slipped down. Maybe someone pulled it down for repair and left/forgot to move it back up? Or it could be something else I've missed.

They were lowered sometime in the mid 2010s (like 2015 lets say), and they were left there. Either that or they lowered it cause something broke on the ring.

Yours are the Symmetrical version. The ones with the M1000 refractor are the Asymmetrical version.

@SoxFtw and @Burrito - That is strange that they would just be left like that for years on end, especially if they are still being powered up (I would assume not as that would be a waste of power and potentially a glare issue to have them near the ground like that). If something did break, how come they haven’t fixed it by now?

| Idk lol. They're likely inactive, especially given the fact that there is a bush growing out of one of the fixtures ballast pods.

@rapidstart_12 yes, which is why them getting powered despite being abandoned is especially wasteful. Looking at the rusty bent pole though, the lights are probably dead or--assuming it's a pulse-start setup--the HPS ignitors are dysfunctional. It may also be 1kW probe-start HPMV as per this datasheet so I'm not sure but the glare from eight (?) 1kW high-mast lights on the floor would've gotten reported by now if working. https://www.scribd.com/document/514742012/GE-Lighting-Systems-HM-1000-High-Mast-Series-Spec-Sheet-3-70

| They're 1000 watts HPS as the surrounding and working HM1000s are HPS

| Is there any particular way you use to identify them as HPS vs MH? (I don't doubt it, just curious)
