									| Sometimes, if you run those lamps base-down and then let it cool off, the mercury will condense between the starting probe and electrode and short them out....then won't start. I have a similar lamp that does that. Most likely to happen if there is sputtering (blackening) right between the electrode and starting probe, which seems more common with those cheap newer lamps. |  |
