What is the diameter of arm used for 400 watt street lights

And also what type of material would be best to use. I'm thinking of going to the hardware store or utilizing scrap pipes at a friend's place.

I would assume for your M-400 ? Well , due to the weight , I would use either 1 1/2" or 2" Galvanized or black iron pipe .
