I was reading on line from a 1941 Westinghouse lighting applications book and it mentioned a curved fluorescent bulb for round or half round show cases in stores.
 
It did not show a picture or other description of it.
Has anyone seen one of these?
I guess it would be a T8 size.

Now that would be a very rare fixture and or bulb.

Ok I went back and looked and could not find the reference to the curved bulb so I may have misread something.
I can't find it now.

I have never seen such a bulb or fixture before.
Hang on to that for sure.

So I guess they did make curved lamps after all.

May be this is where they got the current U tube fixture idea from.
I see them everywhere now.
