Manufacturing defect in the phosphour on this Sylvania Activa 172? « on: Today at 04:59:49 PM » Author: tigerelectronics
So today I decided to have some fun with my high CRI tubes, I noticed something quite interesting with one of my Sylvania Activa 172's. The first weird thing is that the colour is slightly off compared to all my other 172's, this specific one appears closer to 6000K instead of 6500. And it also has this weird thing that looks almost like some weird smudge on the glass, but I'm pretty sure it is on the inside as I wiped these tubes with Windex before I installed them, and I'm very sure it isn't a streak from that.it was incredibly hard to get a good photo of it, but I tried my best. It looks almost like the phosphour was blown in unevenly or something! I have a lot of tubes and I've not seen this before!
