Phillipsa TLD36-840 Reflex « on: January 10, 2011, 11:04:39 AM » Author: SeanB~1
Was looking for some warm white tubes today and came across a half case of these lamps. 16 are spare, as I will be using 2 in a new fixture at work, and need warm white to go with the existing incandescent lighting. They are classed as white, but from the brief run I did to look at the light output they will match the existing well, and they have an internal reflector, which will be useful to compensate for glare if needed.

Also got one T12 40W TL-D RS lamp made in Poland - I just like these lamps ;) and it was the only one left, though there are a few 65W versions there in the big rack of assorted lamps. I generally do not collect 5 foot or bigger lamps. A lot of the pile is " your guess is as good as any! " branded lamps, though I have seen some odd lamps, and will collect strange brands, providing they are EU, RSA or USA made lamps. The whole lot ( 21 lamps) cost around $50, worth it for sure, though I was looking at getting some PRC made Phillips 70W MH lamps, but the price is a little steep for a PRC lamp, though I might get one just to save the Osram one I have in the uplighter.

I saw these lamps (Philips Master TL-D Reflex) in Supersol Big supermarket in Tel-Hanan center in Nesher city.
They were 58W and have also an 840 color.
Their brightness on the front part, that wasn't covered by the reflector, was similar to a T5 HO lamp.
Here is my picture of them.
