Still seeing blue AEL Autobahns in 2025...

Anyone listen to Trance? « on: February 12, 2026, 02:09:21 PM » Author: Maxim
I am an avid fan of club music / trance. Some of my favorites are:

In and Out of Love — Armin Van Buuren
'There's a Stranger in My House' — Tamia (Hex Hector Club Mix)
'I Turn to You' — Melanie C (Hex Hector Radio Edit)
Here I Go Again — E-Type
Something (Extended) — Lasgo
4th Rendezvous — Jean Michel Jarre
Let Go — Paul van Dyk
Tuvan — Armin Van Buuren

Etc.

I also listen to other types of music, but I will say it's my favorite. Any others like me here?

I used to be mainly into it in my teens, back then it was not available for streaming (and i prefer an offline collection over streaming anyway), it was GB's of single tracks and complete sessions on the hard drive

Of tracks i liked at different times, which can be found on Youtube :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeKSj4304zA Infected Mushroom - Franks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OV6Dm4yY7Do Orkidea - Unity (Solarstone Pure Mix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQ4P7zgyacU Bye Bye Beautiful (DJ Orkidea Remix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcJDpW_tgIU Talamasca - Day Dreaming
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuA1eoPVUTo Éléonore | Desireless & Operation Of The Sun (starring Greta Gratos)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7nV69YE4qo Desireless & Operation Of The Sun - Sertao (Remix by People Theatre)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMt1lDpV0_I Sirion - As You Are
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rQZitlZk3M Sirion - Where We Belong
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KR-eV7fHNbM TheFatRat - The Calling (feat. Laura Brehm)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOvk6bfEAtU Castles In The Sky (Extended Mix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geFuxeHeZlk Tiësto - Just Be ft. Kirsty Hawkshaw (Official Music Video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FIsPhrIhmI Scott Bond Vs. Solarstone - Naked Angel (Rare Intro Version)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhgoFyjA03k Solarstone + Scott Bond - Naked Angel (Aura Northern Chant Remix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggXZXlqrkWA Let Solitude (Air Up There Mix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rx1vWMUVQvo Super8 & Tab feat Julie Thompson My Enemy Remix
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LLFBvmzUWI Sean Tyas & Darren Porter - The Potion (Extended Mix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXHBxY0DBlc Damzen - Godric Gryffindor (Harry Potter Trance)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siemDjRBCpM Yahel LIQUID LOVE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v0xQychvbg G-Light - Dance Of The Morning Sun (HD)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4Z_OdEVNhQ Forever (Remastered Original Extended Mix)

And this does not represent yet what is in full trance sessions you may find

I still appreciate it, but moved to other things including Rock (the likes of Evancescence/Nightwish) and Synthwave

Understandable, @Ash . I have already gone through the rock phase (Muse, Radiohead, Evancescence, etc...) as well as the R&B phase (Akon, Timbaland, Mariah, etc...).

So I fully understand your transition away. It seems to be a "temporary" fixation until I find the next thing that scratches my itch. But I will always come back in time and relisten, and still enjoy what were once my "favorite" genres.

When I was younger, I really enjoyed Synthwave. Since I have all of those tracks downloaded to my phone, I usually queue them up when flying or traveling through regions with poor or nonexistent cell service.

I like muse but I wish their mastering was better. Their recordings have a quite noticible difference from all the other music artists I have listened to.... even the ones from the 60s... it is more "muted".

@HomeBrewLamps — I guess "Muse = Muted"  :mrg:

But I certainly agree. They have a couple of songs that are decent, but some really bad offenders like 'Uprising' which has a muffled quality to it that makes it difficult to listen to and enjoy. Maybe this is intentional? I know Matt Bellamy has his own, distinct stylistic ideas.

I like Supermassive Black Hole, Survival, and others. I had a period where that was near-everything I listened to.
