And probably heck of over-illumination, to the extent that taking out lamps is required to get light back to normal levels

The place was lit brightly enough that I've been walking around with my sunglasses on since we moved in even with the dimming system running!  Not kidding there either.

Not really possible to remove lamps as each fixture only has one tube in - so removing them would result in quite large dark spots.

There's a big enough gap between the walls and the first fixture that it's shadowy around the edges of the room at the best of times...

...Can we please have the nice big 3x40W T12 fixtures we had in our old office back?  Light quality there was far better...

I use 11W PL in my room for main lighting, i see what you mean . .
