Hello
Intersting forum this! I've been interested in all things lighting ever since I was a kid especially fluorescent lamps. I think it was something to do with my Grandad who was an old school electrician and gave me low voltage lamps to play with at a young age. For many years he was the duty electrician at the old Orchid Ballroom in Purley, anyone remember that place? I spent a couple of weeks working with him there when I was 15 and learned quite a bit. His workshop was lit by high voltage cold cathode fluoresent lights, these had huge transformers as part of the fittings and came on instantly no blinking. Loads of other lights etc cant remember it all it was over 40 years ago. I still like fluorescent lighting and sometimes amuse my colleagues by craning my neck and staring at some unusual lamp fitting. My study where I am typing is lit by a mixture of linear fluoresents and incandescents and a few LEDs

 Ok thats a brief intro

Hopefully you are enjoying the site Mr. Todd. I am a person who loves Energy Efficient and Energy Star Products who wishes lights like CFL 6500K bulbs & LED 7000K bulbs would work on  :inc: incandescent fixtures,  :mv: Mercury Vapor fixtures,  :hps: high pressure sodium fixtures, and  :a_mh: Metal Halide fixtures. Good to troubleshoot.

6500K Color Temperature Kelvin lighting works for me. I use 6500K CFL in all my incandescent light fixtures. I use 6500K Flurescent bulbs in my flurescent fixtures. I hope prices get better and hope I find 6500K LED lighting in the future. I love energy efficient and Energy Star products. Way to go!
