Daybrite ? newsroom lighting « on: May 03, 2014, 10:19:28 AM » Author: sol
I would like to work in a room that has lighting similar to this newsroom. I imagine DaveMan would like to as well as they appear similar to the Daybrite ones he was after. Although there are a lot of EOL lamps that attest poor maintenance, the darkened fixtures make for an interesting effect. In fact, in a full room of lights, one or two EOL lamps make for an interesting effect.

Some of of those lights on that ceiling are burned out.

6500K Color Temperature Kelvin lighting works for me. I use 6500K CFL in all my incandescent light fixtures. I use 6500K Flurescent bulbs in my flurescent fixtures. I hope prices get better and hope I find 6500K LED lighting in the future. I love energy efficient and Energy Star products. Way to go!

Looks like they are preheat too, as some are only lighting one tube.

I think you might be right, I hadn't really noticed that. I just assumed they were rapid start as most installations of such louvred fittings that I've seen in North America are rapid start. However, some appear to have both tubes out. They might have been re-ballasted at some point.
