First, I moved this thread to Lantern/Fixtures-Vintage & Antique. Second, I looked on the sticker carefully but it had no dating, or I could see no trace of a marking. I will go ahead and clean it a bit more but I'll do it in a deliberate manner. For example, the 250 watt lamp etch was nearly wiped by just brushing it a bit..will take pics before continuing.

I will continue searching in French from now on..! A free Philips Goldeye, might be more than one. Needless to say I'm looking into this, but this is a 4-5 hour drive.
