As for running the pair of 70W S62 high pressure sodium lamps off the 150W M102 pulse start metal halide HX ballast, running the pair of lamps in series should work decently well provided that the ignitor is wired across both lamps assuming it is semiparallel.

For semiparallel ignitors, the X1 and X2 wires are connected across the lamp while the X3 wire on the ignitor is connected to a dedicated ignitor tap when referencing common North American semiparallel ignitors as far as I understand.
