The bottom line is that "if it lights up", it's acceptable.  That has been the rule since Day One. 

Cats do light up....when they happen to chew on a power cord for a lamp. [runs away]  Shocked

I collect exit signs, preferably vintage ones.

I also have a little bit of a thing for light bulbs, too. Of course, hoarding them due to the incandescent bulb ban.
