M-400A3 to M-250A « on: April 10, 2023, 11:51:28 PM » Author: GE PM
On this road, the city replaced an M-400A3 with an M-250a? ??? In a replacement guide by GE it states there is such a thing as an INDUCTION M-250A2? was that an actual product, since they used them all over this city?

That's not a real GE M-250A, it's a knockoff. These were originally* produced by Ark Lighting as the A604P series (primarily in HID), however unbranded induction variants were sold by other companies. They were popular in the late 2000s - early 2010s. It may look similar to a genuine M-250A, but isn't affiliated with GE. Hope this helps.

In regards to the link with the M-250A2... I had no idea GE had induction variants of the M-250R2 / M-250A2. What's interesting is down the road in the Streetview link is a what appears to be a induction M-250A2. So far only the M-400 variants have been documented.

Full-knockoff instead of FCO. It seems like the design for induction street lamps are based off the older HID ones. For example QSSI made an 80w induction streetlight similar to the AEL 113. They still look nicer than LED.

There were many knockoff streetlights made for induction lamps.
For example QSSI made an 80w induction streetlight similar to the AEL 113.
Doesn't Parrot175 have a video about one of those fixtures?
