I recently "rescued" 2 Philips Goldfingers 55w, but they are in a sad state. However the ballasts/capacitors are in excellent working shape. A stamp on one of the capacitors shows 1981. Pictures will come in a few days.
If interested in a trade, do you have a gallery of stuff you'd like to trade or I just ask for what appeals to me?

Now I got the 3rd one! And after adding a 55w lamp, I can't believe it's working perfectly. Photocontrol also working but there's no delay. Story in a few days.

Awesome saves! Do they have bowls? If not how easy is it to find bowls for these lights? Also PM me about what you're interested in in my gallery.

I'll PM you with a choice of older but working mercury lamps from your galleries. Trade for the pictured goldfinger as is, without my lamp. The bowl cover was gone. Will upload more pictures up to see what it was. I'll get to you in a few days as I have to travel.

I'd love to get a goldfinger I was actually thinking about looking for one but I need to know how easily I'll be able to source a bowl for this one before I feel comfortable trading... Reason being is I would actually like to put it in service one day and I don't want the gear tray to rust out or the lamp to get messed up... Are these still fairly common in your area? Or is there another member around with a scrap light that I could buy a bowl off of? Or perhaps 3D printing one? I heard somewhere that the goldfimger had a European equivalent.

Depending on how large the "cover" (guess you could call it that) is, and how hot the lamp gets, it would probably be possible to 3D print one. It wouldn't have the same texture as the original though due to the layers.

Sox lamps don't really get that hot at all.... But I've never seen a gold finger in person so I wouldn't know how large the cover is.

I’m thinking about if I want one or not.

Until I fabricate or 3D print the plastic cover, I'll hold off on trading the pictured one.
