Rich, Coaster junkie!

I dont have much to share anymore as my collecting days are nearing an end. I have almost everything ive wanted in lighting and finding anything special these days is a rare occurrence.
Im going to be entering a long term quiet phase on here where i dont upload much and itll last until i get my own place and can install my lighting goods, at which point pictures of fixtures in service will come
I’m with you 100% here, all I ever really wanted in my collecting days when I was younger was one each of Thorn and GECs linear sodium, SLI lamps, and although it took a while to acquire them, I do now have both! Everything else after that was a bonus!, and I’m happy I have an interesting mix of traditional lamps, from mercury right through to induction types, as well as lots of GLS and Halogen But my collecting now will be focused solely on LED tech, and although their still not a popular tech, to me there’s so many interesting designs, colours and types that their going to have a good history of their own many years from now.

It’s not just on LG, I’ve seen two other lighting forums do the same!, there’s only so far you can take a lighting collection, and unless you’re a hardened rare lamp collector that’s hunting eBay and other places for the next ‘rare’ lamp, you quickly run out of stuff to put on here and talk about! All my own recent collections/installs have all been LED!, and where I’m quite happy with both traditional and LED lamps, LED is always seen as ‘the bad guy’ on all lighting forum’s, so unless it’s something I think is worth putting on, I normally don’t bother.
there is always something that can be done. whether it be homebrewing fixtures, finding stuff in abandoned ruins, discovering rare lamps by accident... I reckon there will be interesting LED tech. or their replacements (possibly lasers).

I've not been so active on here this month as I have been busy writing, and have just finished the first in a series of short stories.

Somewhere There Is Light(ning)

I haven't really noticed it as being 'much less active'.
I don't spend as much time here as I used to (in part because in the past year, I started spending some on my 'internet time' on a weather/storm-related forum and/or its discord page. I also spend more time on YouTube than I used to)
And I deff don't upload as much as I used to, just don't find much anymore + I really have very little available storage space left, so even if I find something I'd like to have I may not get it..
