I'm in search for a 175 watt Mercury Vapor ballast. (H39)
I'm trying to get things prepared in case I find the top housing
for this GE M400R2 refractor door, not to mention, since this refractor door fell off a MV luminaire and I wish to keep up with its traditional lamp type.
I just purchased a 175-watt MV bulb and an electrical cord for it at Home Depot.
So I have most of the majority of these said preparations.

I know, but I prefer staying original.
The MV bulb box says Only use with H39 ballast.

I have a C shaped Mv 175 CAPSLESS ballast I took out of an Unused 84 Nema head, I just have to find what I did with it, Hardly Used maybe has 10 hours max on it. It's a T&B consumer knockoff, I forget the name I think ITT.

If i remember well and 175W MV need ~1.8A, you might use "Pulse-start 150W MH" HX or CWA ballast with deactivated (or not connected) ignitor...

It sounds like an American Electric ballast.  In 1984 they were either owned by ITT or FL Industries.  They didn't become part of T&B until 1992.
