Your lamp have similar lumen output of my tracklight, when I using it with my Osram HQI-TS 70W/WDL Excellence and my Sylvania HSI-TD 70W/D MH lamps. My Electra Lighting MH-DE 4200K RX7s (Rebranded Venture MH-DE 70W/UVS/4K) MH lamp, have even more lumen output.

A lamp shade can lower the light output and also reduce glare

Many factory made lamp shades are made for mounting on externally threaded lamp socket. You can try to get one like that + B22 socket with external thread and the rings that screw on it
