I'm overwhelmed with these comments email notification.  I rarely check my personal email messages.
How do you know if someone's emailed you then..?  ???

This is hopefully fixed now, for any new pictures you upload.  There was a spot where it was using creation time in seconds as part of the query to get the picture ID used to set the initial notification subscription.  The trouble was, it was re-calculating the time so the second might have rolled over in the interim.  If this happened, you wouldn't get subscribed.  I've changed it to use the exact same creation time value, and assuming this was in fact the issue, it shouldn't be a problem going forward.

Not sure about that. I find it useful to know when a comment has been made, so I don't switch it off. Sometimes in the past it would fail to automatically switch on when the first comment was made.

@rjluna2, it does look like you have it set properly to not subscribe.  Note the setting does not affect existing email subscriptions.  If you want, I can clear out your subscriptions for all photos.  If that's what you want, just let me know.

Would it be possible to unsubscribe my comments on other people's photos except for my posting?  Thanks. :)

What do you mean by "except for my posting."  If you send me a PM with specific, I can see what I can do.  Also, let me know if it seems to be working as you'd expect on new photos.  Eventually you should be unsubscribed from old photos after you receive your first notification.

A little tip to get you by in the meantime. If you do not wish to get further emails about a certain picture, just do not open the link or visit that photo and it wont send any more until you visit that picture.

Yeah you only should get one email per picture unless you interact with the picture in question. Note that opening the picture while logged in counts as a interaction.

If you open a picture and don't wish to receive anymore emails about it, there's a link to disable notifications on the right at the top of the comment section.

Not sure about just opening a picture, I think you have to actually make a comment. At least that's how it works for me  :wndr:

Hmm maybe you're right but I could have sworn I got a second email regarding that a reply has been made but I merely opened the picture.

Come to think of it, it might have been the forum.

'Except for my posting' means what I have uploaded to this site.  However, I'll see what I can do to resolve the old other people's posting email notification.

The only way I can see is to individually turn off notifications for all pictures you have already commented on, except for your own. Then every time you make a new comment on someone else's picture, do the same.

Personally I find them very useful, but everyone is different, I suppose  :bulbman:
