Mercury starved CFL sold on eBay? « on: October 20, 2025, 05:34:50 PM » Author: Lightingeye60
I went on eBay and found this listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/400790695554.

The bulb is mercury starved probably, I think all the colored covered CFLs had colored outer bulbs. I know this is not supposed to be pink and it’s probably very dim. I guess someone can buy it if they want a very dim pink light bulb, but I don’t think any normal person would need this. Before it went mercury starved it was probably a 2700K light. I made a photo post about this too. I’m also seeing people sell burned out incandescents. Based on the listing, I think this bulb was defective because they said it was mercury starved out of the box.

No need for the multiple postings.  I've added a comment under the photo.

If it's like the CFL flood I have , once it warms up completely , it looks "normal" . Mine is pink at startup
